Mr. Herington received his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Sociology from Rutgers University. He would then pursue his Law Degree from the University of Richmond. His dedication to protecting the rights of others began while in law school when he interned for the Richmond City Public Defender’s Office.
It was here that he found his strength in guiding criminally accused clients to the support and aid they needed, providing legal representation when the situation was most dire. During his tenure at the public defender’s office, he helped guide clients to the best possible results for their cases, giving him insight into exactly how much legal support could change the course of their lives. That internship would motivate him to finish law school and pursue a career in which he could continue helping others further.
Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Herington accepted a position to become a trial attorney for the State of Colorado. As a Deputy Public Defender, Mr. Herington handled thousands of cases and gained invaluable experience in all phases of litigation and trial advocacy.
